  • Mumbai Indians – The IPL cricket team for 2009 Season2

Posted on April 25th, 2009 Dimakh 1 comment

Mumbai Indians – The IPL Cricket team

The Mumbai Indians team represents the Mumbai city with all its qualities of a dream team just like Mumbai – The dream city. The team is led by its very own Mumbaikar – none other than The Master Blaster – Sachin Tendulkar himself. The team is backed by the business super power Reliance Industries – Mukesh Ambani and Neeta Ambani.

    Captain: Sachin Tendulkar

    *Net Loss (2008): -16
    * Figures are in Indian Rupees crores, Source: Wiki

Team Sponsors: MasterCard, Royal Stag, Kingfisher, Pepsi, Adidas

The Mumbai Indians was the most expensive side of the Indian Premier League for the season 1 , IPLT20 2008 and 2009. The team comprises of cricket heavy weights like Sanath jayasuriya, Zaheer Khan, Swayne Bravo, Harbhana Singh, Laisth Malinga, Dilhara Fernando etc. But it also has a good list of upcoming start players like Abhishek Nayar.

AboutMumbai Indians  From The IPL official website www.iplt20.com

    About Mumbai Indians

It was a low-key team with most injuries and controversies in DLF-IPL1. But now the team looks settled, the skipper’s back with a new staff and some key replenishments. The strength of the side still lies in the top-order, but a few new strikers, plus Sri Lanka’s fit slinger Lasith Malinga could provide the best hope for Mumbai Indians in DLF-IPL2.

Captain-coach combination: When Sachin Tendulkar is the captain, he is very much in charge. So the role of Shaun Pollock has been re-defined a bit. He becomes the chief mentor and alongwith fielding coach Jonty Rhodes expect him to turn things around for Mumbai Indians. If Tendulkar needs more help about South African conditions, then he has a former pro in those parts, Praveen Amre to look after the nitty gritties.

    Star player: Sachin Tendulkar.

    Last year’s record: Played 14, Won 7, Lost 7

  • IPL cricket Live score and live score card while watching cricket live online

Posted on April 18th, 2009 Dimakh 4 comments

The official website of IPL www.iplt20.com has been facing a lot of problems. The official IPL website has been down and keeps throwing errors every now and then.

503 Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request.

So many people are asking questions like where to watch IPL matches online and IPL cricket live score. People are also asking questions like what time is the IPL match in IST or Indian standard timing . So I was trying to find out if I can get a good widget for cricket to add on my wordpress blog. My google search earned me good results and I was able to find a simple solutions to display current live IPL results on my own blog.
A few of the widgets did not work but the widget box gave me the easiest options..
You can check the widget on the side bar of my blog and if you want to use cricket widget in your blog simply copy paste the code from here
But I am not sure what the widget will show when the matches are not live. But nevertheless a very good widget to use during the cricket matches of IPL in South Africa – The IPL Season 2. Currently I am viewing the first match of IPL between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Superkings. Each of the IPL team captains have played excellent and a pretty good beginning to the IPL Season 2

  • IPLT20 cricket updates – details with list of teams in IPL and official websites

Posted on April 5th, 2009 Dimakh 2 comments

As the IPLT20 – The DLF IPL Season 2 – IPL 2009 comes closer , the cricket fans across the world are hoping for a great season with good cricket and great entertainment. This year the cricket games have been shifted to South Africa after England lost the season citing bad weather and rain threatening to play a spoil sport and could adversely affect more than half the matches. Initially Indian Government and home ministry had withheld security clearance for the Indian Premier League despite tournament organisers submitting a revised playing schedule. The Home ministry had given the reason that providing security to the players may not be feasible due to shortage of security forces as the forces would be busy safeguarding the countries elections.

The official website of the Indian Premier League - www.iplt20.com – is getting updated to give all the latest happenings about IPLT20. The technology is going to play a major role in this year as well. Every team has come up with its own website and has a big fan followers online. Most of the websites are getting ready for the season 2.

IPLT20 2009 starts from Saturday April 18 , 2009 at Cape Town, South Africa. The first match will be played between Mumbai Indians and chennai super kings.
