Aircel Website Crash iPhone 4S pre order

Aircel had announced pre order of iPhone 4S on their website and facebook page. iphone 4s india launch by Aircel

But unfortunately as the clock turned to date of 18th November – the date on which pre order was to opened. The website just crashed for aircel.

iPhone 4s india release and launch date is November 25 for India. Finally the most awaited iPhone 4S along with Siri get launched by Airtel and Aircel in India. But none of the websites of Airtel or Aircel speak about Siri on their website.

The price is still a speculation but both companies have decided to accept pre booking from 18th of November. So lets await and see the price of iPhone 4S in India.

iPhone 4S launch date in India has been unofficially announced by Aircel. Aircel just displayed on its facebook page -

If we refer to earlier trends by Apple in India, Apple has always launched its products on friday. So we can speculate that the launch date for aircel iPhone 4S in India would be 25th November as this is a friday.

In US the charges for unlocked iPhone 4S have been announced as below -

A 16GB unlocked iPhone 4S will be $649, a 32GB version will be $749, and a 64GB device will set you back $849.

In India with todays Dollar – Rupee rate conversion – a 16GB unlocked iPhone 4S will cost you almost Rs.32450 and the 64GB version will cost you almost Rs.42450 .

But if all rumors are to be considered we should not expect the 16GB version to be less than Rs.40000 and the 64GB to be beyond Rs.55000

so lets wait to see if Airtel also announces dates and rates for iPhone 4S launch in India

iPhone 4S Unlocked now available

Apple just silently launched its unlocked version online . The much awaited unlocked version of iPhone 4S comes at following price bands.

A 16GB unlocked iPhone 4S will be $649, a 32GB version will be $749, and a 64GB device will set you back $849.

The apple website says, The unlocked iPhone works only on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T in the U.S. When you travel internationally, you can also use a micro-SIM card from a local GSM carrier. The unlocked iPhone will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.

The phone would be shipped in 1-2 weeks . So Apple has started to pre-order the iPhone 4S. Not sure when it would be available in shop. But outside US , Apple launched both versions of locked iPhone 4S and unlocked iPhone 4S on same day. It was reported that in HonkKong the iPhone 4S got sold in 10 minutes from the time it was launched.

So those who have been waiting for a official iPhone 4S – here is the chance to get it from USA and start using it. In India we have many carriers who provide a decent 3G experience and would be able to support all the features of iPhone 4S.

iPhone 4S in India in November

iPhone 4S is most likely being launched in the month of November in India. The scheduled date seems to be 24th of November. This is a bit surprise as the phone will be launched almost a month earlier than its expected release date.

India has been very eager to get the iphone 4S and it will be a huge demand. The iPhone 4S will most likely be made available by existing iPhone telecom partners – Airtel and Aircel. We could be in for a surprise if Reliance also gets its hands on the new iPhone 4S in India.

The iPhone 4S price in India is most likely to be around Rs.30,000/- + taxes . The current price in Canada is $649 which is an unlocked iPhone 4S . We still dont have a clear idea about the unlocked iPhone 4S price in India.

Still we do not have a confirmed answer from Apple – about the launch date for India. As of now apple still considers India as – Rest of the world.

Hope to see a change of stand and waiting for a launch date from apple for India for Iphone 4s. I still hope that the launch date will be end december 2011 for Iphone 4s in India.
