iPhone 4S Unlocked now available

Apple just silently launched its unlocked version online . The much awaited unlocked version of iPhone 4S comes at following price bands.

A 16GB unlocked iPhone 4S will be $649, a 32GB version will be $749, and a 64GB device will set you back $849.

The apple website says, The unlocked iPhone works only on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T in the U.S. When you travel internationally, you can also use a micro-SIM card from a local GSM carrier. The unlocked iPhone will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.

The phone would be shipped in 1-2 weeks . So Apple has started to pre-order the iPhone 4S. Not sure when it would be available in shop. But outside US , Apple launched both versions of locked iPhone 4S and unlocked iPhone 4S on same day. It was reported that in HonkKong the iPhone 4S got sold in 10 minutes from the time it was launched.

In India with the todays Dollar – Rupee rate conversion – a 16GB unlocked iPhone 4S will cost you almost Rs.32450 and the 64GB version will cost you almost Rs.42450 .

So those who have been waiting for a official iPhone 4S – here is the chance to get it from USA and start using it. In India we have many carriers who provide a decent 3G experience and would be able to support all the features of iPhone 4S.
